Duke

Jared took this picture on the Duke campus recently when he should have been studying but the weather was way too beautiful to stay inside.

Beautiful Addison

where did the flower go?

i always try to keep a fresh flower or some other type of plant cutting in our bathroom. it somehow makes it feel fresher.
today when i went into the bathroom the flower was missing.
it didn't take me long to locate it.
for all of you who have a two year old or have ever known one, i don't need to explain how the flower got there. since i took these pictures, the flower has made its way back to the plunger several more times. i guess the unidentified perpetrator (who may or may not be identified in the mirror above) thinks the flower will make the plunger fresher.

Fall Leaves

This weekend we went to Asheville, NC for a wedding and decided to make a family trip of it. We drove out to Dupont Forest and hiked around to take in all of the fall colors. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Jared was sad he did not have his bike with him.
Brighton spent most of the time looking for rocks. By the time we were finished his pants were almost falling off because his pockets were so full.

We have the world's smallest car so we were a little cramped.

Addison

Addison is such a sweet baby. She is starting to get chubby cheeks which I am very proud of. This is the most recent picture we have.

Pennies

One of Brighton's favorite things are pennies even though he is not allowed to have them. He gets so excited every time he finds one.

Every time we go to the mall Brighton loves to throw pennies into the fountain. I always have to make sure I remember to bring some. We took these pictures last week. That is Addison in the pouchlike thing I have.

My first attempt at blogging!

This is our little family including our latest addition Addison. We welcomed her on September 23, 2008.

We can't forget the girls, they are an important part of our family as well.
